How Helen helped to craft Kate's royal wedding dress
But Sutton College graduate, Helen McCook, had more reason than most to be excited when the soon-to-be Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of the Goring Hotel last month – as she was part of a small group of embroiderers that worked with the House of Alexander McQueen to create Kate's wedding gown it was revealed this week.
Images of her handiwork on the dress itself, the veil, Kate's shoes and parts of Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid dress, was beamed around the world. Helen also worked on Kate's evening gown, which she wore to the official reception at Buckingham Palace .
